The Town of Mamaroneck Police Department protects and preserves the rights of its citizens and enforces applicable state, county, and local laws. It provides fundamental police services such as crime prevention and investigation, patrol, and traffic enforcement. Additionally the Police Department assists local ambulance corps in responding to medical emergencies. The Police Department is proud to be a part of the Town of Mamaroneck's exceptional public safety system.
The Police Department also sponsors outreach efforts. Community outreach focuses on safety and crime prevention education. Meanwhile youth outreach programs ensure that children are introduced to important safety information early on.
The Town of Mamaroneck Police Department participates every year in the New Rochelle Police Autism Patch Challenge along with the Town of Mamaroneck Fire Department, and Larchmont/Mamaroneck Volunteer Ambulance Corps. This event was started by New Rochelle Police Department and New Rochelle PBA to promote Autism Awareness in police departments and other emergency services agencies across the country during the month of April. April is designated as “Autism Awareness Month”and as part of the challenge throughout the month of April, the Town of Mamaroneck Police Department displays Autism Awareness police patches on marked police cars to raise awareness and show support.
