Code of Conduct
SKATER RESPONSIBILITY AND
ASSUMPTION OF RISK AGREEMENT
Skaters agree to and accept responsibility for all of the following:
- Maintain reasonable control of your speed, course and direction.
Do not skate in groups. Do not stop where you obstruct other skaters.
- Read and abide by all
posted signs and warnings and cooperate with
the arena staff.
- Maintain a proper lookout to avoid other skaters,
objects or conditions on the ice surface. Report any hazards to
arena staff.
- Accept responsibility for knowing
the range of your ability while on skates; skate within the limits
of that ability and as appropriate to the session on which you
are skating.
- Refrain from skating while under the influence of
drugs, alcohol or other control impairing substances.
- Leave the ice surface when resurfacing maintenance
is taking place. Keep exits clear and do not sit on the dasher
boards. Before entering the rink, look for oncoming skaters.
- Refrain from taking food or drink onto the
rink surface or the surrounding dasher or caprail. Do not carry
children or items while skating.
- Refrain from acting
in a manner that may cause or contribute to injury of yourself
or any other person.
- Refrain from throwing or leaving objects on the rink surface.
- Refrain from instigating or becoming involved in any type of
altercation with any other skater or spectator.
- Assumption of Risk: By engaging in skating, skaters
are deemed to have knowledge of and assume the inherent risks of
skating, which include but are not limited to the following:
a. Injuries that result from collisions or contact with other skaters.
b. Injuries that result from falls.
c. Injuries that involve objects or artificial structures that
are properly
within the intended path of travel of the skater.
HOCKEY CODE OF CONDUCT AND
ASSUMPTION OF RISK AGREEMENT
The ISI Hockey Code of Conduct is a guide for all players, coaches
and spectators at ISI endorsed
events. The ISI encourages good sportsmanship and fair play and reminds
all participants NOT to
act in any way that would embarrass yourself, your family, your team,
your organization or your
community.
Participants agree to and accept responsibility for all of the following:
- Read and abide by all posted signs and warnings and cooperate with
the arena staff.
- Players will not engage in vandalism or destruction
of property at any time.
- Locker rooms shall be kept clean and
in good condition. Stealing will not be tolerated.
- Profane language,
verbal or physical abuse directed toward any teammate, opponent,
official, coach, spectator or arena staff member will not be tolerated.
- Use of alcohol, drugs or tobacco is not allowed
prior to or during a game.
- Poor sportsmanship by anyone will
not be tolerated at any time.
- Leave the ice surface when resurfacing
or maintenance is taking place. Keep clear of all
exits and do not sit on or hang over the dasher boards.
- Refrain
from throwing or leaving any objects on the ice surface.
- Assumption
of Risk: Participants are deemed to have knowledge of and assume
the
inherent risks of hockey, which include, but are not limited to,
the following:
a. Injuries resulting from collisions, trips,
slips, falls or contact occurring during
play.
b. Injuries resulting from pucks, sticks, skates
or other equipment used while playing.
c. Injuries occurring from changes in equipment or ice conditions
during play.

SPECTATOR CODE OF CONDUCT AND
ASSUMPTION OF RISK AGREEMENT
Spectators agree to and accept responsibility for all of the following:
- Read and abide by all posted signs and warnings
and cooperate fully with the arena staff at all times.
- Maintain
a constant lookout for objects or conditions, including flying
pucks, which may pose a potential hazard.
- Refrain from consuming
alcohol, drugs or any other control impairing substances while
attending arena events.
- Refrain from throwing objects or spilling
substances on the ice surface, surrounding players
or officials, boxes or spectator viewing areas.
- Refrain from using any obscene or vulgar language
or gestures.
- Refrain from abusing, taunting or ridiculing participants,
officials or other spectators.
- Refrain from instigating or becoming
involved in any type of altercation with other spectators or event
participants.
- Conduct yourself at all times so as to be a positive
role model for
those around you.
- Assumption of Risk: By entering
these premises, spectators are deemed to have knowledge of and
assume the inherent risks of viewing skating or hockey activities
including, but not limited to, the following:
a. Injuries that result from flying pucks or other hazards.
b. Injuries that result from trips and falls.
c. Injuries that result from objects or artificial
structures that are properly placed
in the path or vicinity of the spectator.
